Home Voice (Mezzo-Soprano) Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Voi che sapete (Le nozze di Figaro), K. 492

by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Voice (Mezzo-Soprano)ClassicalAria~3 minintermediate

Cherubino's canzona from Act II of The Marriage of Figaro, in which the lovestruck page describes the confusion of adolescent desire. Written in a simple, song-like ABA form with a gentle orchestral accompaniment, it is one of Mozart's most perfectly crafted vocal miniatures. A staple of the mezzo-soprano audition repertoire.
