Voi che sapete (Le nozze di Figaro), K. 492
by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Cherubino's canzona from Act II of The Marriage of Figaro, in which the lovestruck page describes the confusion of adolescent desire. Written in a simple, song-like ABA form with a gentle orchestral accompaniment, it is one of Mozart's most perfectly crafted vocal miniatures. A staple of the mezzo-soprano audition repertoire.
